This is a group consisting of three entrepreneur members who are engaged to their activities. One of them is Mayra, who sells nacatamales [steamed meat and vegetable pasty, cooked in banana or maize leaves] and has a grocery store for six years. She started her business selling nacatamales and gradually invested the profits in products such as bread, coffee, rice, oil, and snacks in a small scale until turning it into a grocery store.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of grocery store products such as rice, beans, oil, laundry soap, bath soap, toilet paper, beef, chicken, etc. Martha sells clothes and cosmetics and Martin has a grocery store in his home.

Grupo formado formado por tres socios emprendedores que se dedican a sus actividades cada quien una de ellas es Mayra que se dedica a vender nacatamal y tiene una pulpería desde hace 6 años. Inicio su negocio vendiendo nacatamales y poco a poco fue invirtiendo su ganancia en productos como pan, café, arroz, aceite, chiverías en menor escala hasta lograr convertirla en pulpería, el crédito lo invertirá en la compra de productos de pulpería como arroz, frijoles, aceite, jabón de lavar, jabón de baños, papel higiénico, carne de res, carne de pollo etc. Martha vende ropa y cosméticos, Martin tiene una pulpería en su domicilio.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
