A loan of $1,075 helped to buy furniture-making supplies.

Carlos Roberto's story

Carlos, 59, is married and has four children; he lives in the Cofradía sector of the municipality of San Pedro Sula. Carlos worked for a government office for a time but his income was low so he decided it would be best to go into cabinet-making. He’s been doing this for many years and has much experience. He manufactures all types of wood furniture like tables, chairs, living room furniture, china cabinets, armoires, file cabinets, doors and others. He has a good clientele in his community.

He’s asking for another loan which will be his second ODEF cycle. It’s for 21,000 Lempiras that he’ll use to buy wood, stain, varnish, sandpaper, glue and other supplies needed to manufacture furniture. His goal is to have his shop well-stocked with wood and supplies needed to work well and be able to grow economically to improve his family’s quality of life.
