Sounday Sèvèho

In order to support his family, for about a dozen years Soundahy Sèvèho has been working as a tailor in his own shop. As a parallel business activity, he sells firewood and various items (such as rice and vegetable oil) out of his home. Soundahy Sèvèho stocks up in a town of Benin. With the goal of meeting demand and increasing his sales volume and his revenues, Soundahy Sèvèho is seeking a loan from ALIDé for the fourth time. This loan will allow him to expand his business and to earn a greater profit. The prior loans have been duly repaid.

Sounday Sèvèho est âgé de 37 ans et vit au Bénin. Sounday Sèvèho a fréquenté l’école jusqu’au niveau primaire. Sounday Sèvèho est marié à une marchande du nom de Mélanie. Le couple a cinq enfants à leur charge, dont certains scolarisés. Parmi les enfants, trois sont leurs propres enfants. Sounday Sèvèho vit ensemble avec sa femme et ses enfants et assure ensemble avec sa femme, les charges de la maison. Afin d’assurer les diverses charges de la famille, Sounday Sèvèho mène comme activité depuis une dizaine d’année, la couture dans son atelier. Parallèlement à cette activité, Sounday Sèvèho vend des fagots de bois et divers articles ( riz et de l'huile végétale) à son domicile. Sounday Sèvèho s’approvisionne dans une ville du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Sounday Sèvèho sollicite pour la quatrième fois, un crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce prêt lui permettra certainement de rehausser le niveau de son activité et de se faire plus de profits. Les premiers prêts ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
