Phon's Group's story

Phon, a resident of a rural area of Kampong Cham province’s Dambae district of Cambodia, is 33 years old and married. She has three lovely kids (one daughter and two sons), who are all school-aged children. To support the family, Phon and her husband farm rice and plant cassava.

Phon has been with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner, for a loan cycle, with which she succeeded in improving the living condition of her family. Phon and her group member Sokhom seek a loan in the amount of 1,000,000 KHR and 1,200,000 KHR respectively. As a group leader, Phon will use her loan to buy fertilizer for her farmland and to pay for labor fees. Phon strongly believes that the loan will provide good yields for her business so she can boost her income. and improve the living standard of her family and most importantly, support her children's schooling.
