A loan of $975 helped to pay for additional computer parts and supplies needed in her business.

Adora's story

This is Adora, 61, resident of GMA, Philippines. She is married to Glicerio, and a mother to her children. At this time, she is working hard to be able to send her children all the way through college. Like most Filipino parents, Adora believes that a college diploma is the best inheritance parents could leave to their children.

Adora operates an internet café business. There is more need now, than before, for services like these as customers’ demands increase. Her main patrons are students, who require her services for their school requirements. She also has people who need to rent computers for business purposes like writing a resume or any office documentation; as well as people who would just love to surf the net and any social network. She earns a minimum of PHP 500 in profit every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a PHP 40,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy additional computer parts and accessories needed in her business. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Adora dreams to have a good future and hopes to expand her business all by the grace of God. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
