A loan of $800 helped to buy agricultural supplies, such as fertilizer, labor, and pigs to fatten.

Virgilia's story

Virgilia, 35, is married and has two children aged 13 and 3. She lives in a municipality five kilometers from town. She makes her living raising animals such as birds and pigs, a tradition handed down from her parents. Because she lives far from the town, she must travel by bus or light car to make her purchases.

The loan she is requesting from Fundacion Campo is to buy agricultural supplies such as fertilizer, labor, and pigs to fatten. With this investment, she expects to obtain a good harvest so she can be sure to have food to feed her family and pay her loan back. Her hope is for her children to continue the spirit of work and improvement.
