A loan of $575 helped to buy a variety sweets, as well as clothing and shoes in order to fill orders.

Naicy's story

Naicy, 21, lives in the southern part of the city and sells different merchandise and sweets. She has been in business for three years and started earning this extra income by selling directly to end consumers in her neighborhood on a cash basis. Business has been growing little by little, and her work schedule is an average 12 hours a day beginning at 8:00 a.m. She plans to cover her own expenses as well as those of her two-year-old son, for whom she dreams of a prosperous future.

Her goal is to have her own establishment one day in a more active commercial location, so she can sell more volume. But her greatest challenge is not having enough capital to sustain growth. Currently, she is applying for her first CrediKiva loan to buy a variety of sweets, especially for Halloween, which will give Naicy a high sales volume. She will also buy clothing and shoes to stock her business and be able to respond to the high demand for the New Year's parties, when families get together and celebrate, dressed in clothing sold by Naicy once she gets the CrediKiva loan.
