A loan of $1,175 helped to buy cattle and sheep.

Ada's story

Yede, 28, is an unassuming woman living with Fredy, her husband of seven years. They have three children: Lisbeth, Juan Carlos and Luzmila who they care for in their own house. Like all hardworking, hopeful women of the land she starts her day in the fields caring for her corn, pea and potato crops that provide her family’s only source of income. This woman’s will to work is extraordinary for her youngest daughter is only a few months old and needs much care.

Her husband helps her with the most demanding tasks like carrying the sacks of animal feed and the sacks of harvested products and transporting the livestock she raises to the Acostambo market on Fridays where she earns extra money with the sale of sheep and cattle she raises for many months. She’d now like to have a business that produces still more extra income.

This is her second MFP loan. In all this time she’s been responsible and punctual. She enjoys being part of the “Tancar Puquio” association which is
composed of mutually supportive people with enterprising spirits. Yede will use the requested money to buy cattle and sheep for her business.
