Consolation Baco Group's story

Consolation Baco is a Community Bank made up of 6 members whose chairwoman is Mireille. These members are united for the same goal--to grow their businesses by loans received from Kiva through the MFI HOPE RDC.

Mireille sells manioc flour in detail. She began her business in 1987. After hard work and good management, she succeeded in making it thrive thanks to the accumulated profits. Mireille is a trustworthy client of the MFI HOPE RDC, having thirteen times obtained and correctly repaid loans. She will increase her stock of merchandise with her next loan by buying more sacks of manioc flour in bulk and reselling them at a profit in her environment. Her business generates a profit of US $110 per week. Mireille is 40 years old, married and the mother of a daughter who is 6 years old and goes to school. Mireille’s dream is to open a manioc facility and become a provider in her area.
