Suraiya is 40-year-old, energetic, and diligent woman. She lives in Punjab, Pakistan along with her husband and 3 sons. Her husband is a labourer and also run his own vegetable shop . One of her sons works as a salesman in a general store.
Suraiya is an efficient and hardworking embroider. Since 2009, she has been doing all the embroidery work at home. She makes embroidered materials including tablecloths and bed sheets and sells them in the market. Now she is interested in purchasing some materials for her business. As a member of a 9-person lending group, she has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase materials like needles, cloth, and other accessories.
