Joseph, 40 years old, is a married entrepreneur living in Lapasan, Clarin with his two children. He has run a transportation services business for almost ten years. He earn 6,500 PHP a month. To improve his business, Joseph is borrowing 10,000 PHP from GDMPC micro credit. He joined GDMPC recently for a loan to buy accessories and tires. He hopes to expand his business soon.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
