Martha Ideria's story

The Communal Bank, "Los Tres Ángeles (Three Angels)", meets every fortnight in the Montecristi Canton, which is known for its rich culture and its pre colonial craftsmanship that is recognized nationally and internationally. It is the location of the famous Panama hats.

This is where Martha lives, she is 53 years old, married and has three children. They are all grown and independent adults. Her husband is a craftsman who makes straw hats.

Martha intended to gain something on your own and with that be able to get ahead and help her husband with the household expenses. She sells all kinds of clothes door to door and also sells from her home where her customers come when they need a garment or new merchandise. Martha goes out to sell three days a week, leaving her customers with credit and then collecting every fortnight. She goes to Guayaquil to purchase merchandise whenever she needs it. She has been in this business for more than 20 years so she already has a strong customer base

This loan will be used to buy merchandise such as pants, blouses, shirts and children's clothing. Martha has been in the communal bank since its beginning and likes it for the help they always give and the credit to get by.
Her dream is to have a local shop.
