A loan of $775 helped to buy a large number of hens, as well as balanced feed and water dispensers for her animals.

Simiona's story

Simiona, age 46, is a happy woman. She lives with her five children in a home which she inherited 15 years ago. As a farmer, she works with agriculture and livestock. She plants on her own agricultural lands, which take her an hour to get to by foot. After every harvest, she sells her produce in the city of Jauja. She also raises hens, guinea pigs, and cows, which she often sells. "Through raising my animals I make a weekly income. This helps me to cover some costs," she says. Since Simiona is a hard-working woman, she also sells sweets and food on the patron saints' days in certain villages; this makes her an additional income. This is her third loan with MFP. All this time, she has proven herself to be punctual, responsible, and above all happy to be part of her group, "Virgen de Rosario". The group is made up of united people with enterprising spirits. Simona will invest this loan in the purchase of a large quantity of hens, as well as balanced feed and water dispensers for her animals.
