A loan of $1,550 helped to buy two purebred cows and sheep.

Casilda's story

Casilda is a happy, 56 year old woman. She lives with her husband, Antonio, and their four children, whom she takes care of in the house they got 20 years ago by the business where they worked.

Twenty years ago a state company taught them everything they needed to know about livestock and agriculture. Ever since that time she started to raise cows and camelids. She currently has eight cows, sheep, and llamas. She takes care of them with much care and dedication. “I spend most of my time grazing my animals in the highland where they eat natural grass, which is the reason they are good quality,” she affirms.

She makes cheese every day thanks to the milk the animals produce. She comments that the other business activity she does is farming, but in smaller quantity. Raising animals is where she gets greater income.

This is her 17th loan with MFP. In all of this time she has shown herself to be punctual and responsible. Above all, she likes belonging to her communal bank, Virgen de Fátima. The bank is comprised of supportive people with the entrepreneurial spirit.

Casilda will use the money to buy two purebred cows. If there is enough money, she will also buy sheep.
