A loan of $775 helped to buy chickens and guinea pigs.

Bibiana's story

Bibiana, age 45, is a hardworking woman. She lives with her four children and cares for them in a home that she inherited 17 years ago. Her main business activities involve agriculture and livestock breeding. She owns cows, sheep, guinea pigs, and chickens and looks after them with great care. Bibiana depends on the profits she earns from the sale of these animals. For this reason she acquires food, such as natural grasses and balanced animal feed, to improve their quality. At the same time, Bibiana grows potatoes, barley, broad beans, and “talwi” (a type of bean that contains nutrients known for their healing properties). These products are sold weekly in the city of Tarma.

Bibiana now wants to improve her livestock and increase her herds so that she can earn more income. This is her third loan with MFP. Throughout this entire time, she has demonstrated that she is punctual and responsible. Most of all, she enjoys being a member of the “Virgen del Rosario” Communal Bank because her group consists of supportive individuals who possess an enterprising spirit. Bibiana will invest her loan in the purchase of chickens and guinea pigs so that she can acquire more livestock.
