A loan of $600 helped to purchase 'pagne' cloth, pots and pans, and basins to sell.

Ablavi's story

Ablavi, 33 years old, has no children to support. She has a revenue-generating business selling 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa), pots and pans, buckets, and a variety of other goods. This business, which she started by going door to door seven years ago, enables her to support herself. To keep her customers, since she is confronted with the problem of competition on the ground, she is requesting help from WAGES with a fourth loan, so as to stock up on merchandise. Her desire is to do her best to satisfy her customers, carve out a choice location at the market, and own a large store.
