A loan of $1,150 helped a member to buy rice, beans, and vegetable oil.

Cerveau Group's story

Cerveau is a group with three members, who all live in the same area in Benin. The group’s representative is called Charlotte, and is pictured with her hand raised in the photo. Charlotte is 37 years of age, and is married to Jonas. The couple has five children, all at school and under their care. Charlotte and her husband live together with their children, and ensure that the children are provided for.

Charlotte stopped attending school during her high school studies. For almost five years she has worked selling various products (rice, vegetable oil, beans) from home. She is passionate about her business, and it allows her to provide for herself and for her children.

Charlotte gets her supplies in Benin. As she wants to ensure customer satisfaction and increase her working capital, she has requested a fourth loan along with the other members of the Cerveau group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ requests, as well as to make more profits.
