Mahukpehu Group's story

Mahukpehu is a group of 3 people who all live in the same area of Benin. The representative of the group, Marie (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 49 years old. She is married to a certain Emile, and they have 6 children, all of whom go to school and are under their care. Marie lives together with her husband and children. Together the couple takes care of the various household expenses. Marie did not go to school.

To meet her different expenses, Marie has been selling hair extensions and clothes from her home for about 10 years. Additionally, Marie sells telephone recharge cards. She procures her goods from a market in Benin.

In the search for customer satisfaction and to see an increase in her business and working capital, Marie is asking for a fourth loan from Alidé together with the other members of the Mahukpehu group. This loan will help them better respond to customer requests and earn more profits.
