A loan of $2,350 helped a member to buy soap.

Ndieme's Group's story

The Banc Villageois overseeing this group was created on November 19, 2004. It is made up of 11 members who reside in the same locality and live in good harmony with each other. They are primarily involved in retail business, in the preparation of meals, and in the fattening of livestock.

Marème is married and the mother of two boys. She is 26 years old and standing on the right-hand side in the photo, raising her hand. Her main activity is retail business. She buys 15 boxes of soap and one bag of soap powder and then resells her goods for retail. Additionally, she also prepares meals. She has been involved in this type of activity since 2010.

After replenishing her stock of goods, she uses the rest of her money to strengthen her second business. Her profits allow her to ensure her family's well-being (children's education, healthcare, food needs) and to increase her savings.

In this group: Ndieme, Mareme, Arame, Ndeye, Fama, Coumba Sene, Khady, Saye, Ndeye, Adama, Ngoute
