Nancy Guadalupe's story

Nancy’s taking out her first loan with the “Futuro por un Bienestar” (Future for Wellbeing) communal bank. She joined the group invited by her sister who is a member. She lives in the city of Cuenca’s Racar sector which is a place where the beauty of nature can be enjoyed. Its residents are hardworking and for the most part manufacture bricks and roof tiles. They also work in agriculture and raise animals. Some have jobs in the city. They still preserve their culture and traditions.

Nancy’s 37-years-old, single and living in her parents’ house with whom she shares household expenses. She works in an occupation she learned from her parents: manufacturing bricks and roof tiles. She also raises pigs and cattle.

She will use the new loan to buy clay to manufacture bricks. Her goal is to grow in the brick manufacturing business.
