Faaeteete is 36 years old and married with three children. She plans to start a business selling food items and household items in her community. She has requested a loan to buy Twisties (a snack food), buns, and household items to start her business.
Faaeteete will use her profits to expand her business in the future. She has been a member of SPBD since 2011.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
