A loan of $625 helped a member to buy fertilizer for her rice field.

Nget's Group's story

Nget, a young 23-year-old mother of one son, is married and a rural villager from Kror Kor District, Pursat Province, Cambodia. She has three hectares of rice cropping farmland as her main source of income. Additionally, she raises pigs and her husband works for others for a fee as extra income. He has been in this business for four years.

This is a new loan cycle for Nget with VisionFund, Kiva's partner, and she is the leader of a group of three members. She and one of her co-members are seeking a loan of 1,000,000 riels (KHR) each, while the remaining one is applying for a 500,000 KHR loan. Nget is going to use her portion for purchasing fertilizer for her rice field. She hopes to earn more income from her current business.
