She grows rice and cassava for her business. This business serves as her core income generator. She uses the profits for her daily survival. For the six years that she has been working in this business, she has earned about 18,000 KHR per day.

This five member group is a first-cycle loan client, Vannak is the leader. She is seeking 600,000 KHR; one of her co-members is also applying for 1,000,000 KHR; the other three members are requesting for 800,000 KHR each. Vannak is going to use her portion of the loan to buy fertilizer for her cash-crop. She hopes that this purchase will create good production and profit, so she can be better-off and raise her living condition.
