Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's story

The 12 members of the group are working women, which is why the group is named "Mujeres Trabajadoras" [Working Women]. They all want to get ahead, and they know that by working they can do it, which is why the came together to help each other. One group member is Ms. Natalia, who makes pottery by which she supports her family. It is hard work but she is proud of what she does as it is decent, and above all, honest work. She is requesting a loan for the purchase of clay, brushes and paints to keep doing her crafts and thereby continue to earn an honest living to sustain her family.
