A loan of $1,000 helped to buy 2,000 tiles, 3 bags of cement, wooden scantlings and hire workers.

María Emilia's story

María, 64, began working on coffee plantations when she was ten years old. At age 30 she became a member of the coffee co-op for ten years and now she receives a pension for having worked there. She has a daughter who helps her economically and works on the coffee plantations.

María is a hard worker who has a very good reputation in the community, with her values and principles. She is a returning customer of the Fundación.

The loan she is requesting through Fundación Campo is to buy 2,000 tiles, 3 bags of cement, wooden scantlings and hire workers. The aim of her investment is to renovate her house because of the water leakage and to give her family better living conditions. She wants to start growing corn and beans and set up a chicken farm, as well as continue improving her home.
