A loan of $400 helped to buy scissors and clippers for his hairdressing business.

Assogba's story

Assogba is 38 years old and lives in Benin. He is married to a merchant named Léa. The couple has three children, all of whom attend school. Together, Assogba and Léa care for their children and pay for all of the household expenses. Assogba has been running his hairdressing business in his region for fifteen years. Assogba purchases his supplies from merchants in his region as well. His hairdressing business is what allows Assogba to be able to pay for his share of the various family expenses.

Assogba is currently seeking his third loan from Alidé, his first two loans having been repaid in full. He plans to use this loan to purchase hair-cutting supplies. This will allow him to increase the level of customer satisfaction for his clientele. The loan will certainly help Assgoba to gain more business as a hairdresser, and thus earn more income.
