Rin is 31 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been growing rice and fattening up cattle for more than seven years, earning approximately $2 daily. Her husband is a knife and ax maker. He earns about $5 daily.
In order to improve her husband’s business, Rin is requesting a loan of $600 to purchase metal for her husband to use for producing more knives and axes to sell. This money will help him earn more income for the family. In the future, Rin would like to expand the businesses and send her children to earn a bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
