To make a living, Sreytouch has been growing rice for ten years and supplementing her income by selling various kinds of vegetables such as cabbages, salad, cucumbers, etc. She can earn about 25,000 KHR per day and can save about 10,000 KHR each day for her future needs.
Sreytouch received her first loan four cycles ago, and she has completely repaid the loans from VisionFund. With the loans from VisionFund, she has improved her standard of living. Now leading her group of two to apply for another loan, Sreytouch will use this loan to buy fertilizer, rice seed and pesticides for her farm. Sreytouch hopes this loan will enable her rice farm to become more productive, so as to better her family’s living conditions.

VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
