Yesenia Marisol's story

Los Bajos de Montecristi is a city known for the diversity of its typical products, for example the straw panama hats known far and wide. This is where the members of Communal Bank Las Palmitas meet every 15 days.

Yesenia lives here. She is 34 years old, married, and has two children aged 8 and 9 who are in school. Her husband is an artisan and farmer.
She and her husband have worked making these straw hats for more than 10 years, and this has given them what they need to advance their family. They make the hats, and then once a week they take their good to traders in Montecristi, who sell the products to tourist who really like the typical products of these places.

This loan is to buy the straw, paints, and ribbons necessary to make the hats. She has been part of the Communal Bank for 2 years. She is the president of the Bank, and she likes it because with the loans she can help her husband.

Her dream is to have a place in the city where she can sell the hats.
