Kimyen's Group's story

Kimyen, 55, is a villager residing in Kampong Cham province’s Tbaung Khmum district in Cambodia. She is married and has two sons, both of whom are employed as taxi drivers. To support the family, Kimyen and her husband work as rice farmers on one-and-a-half hectares of farmland. Kimyen has more than 30 years of experience in her current business, which enables her to earn around 18,000 KHR per day.

Kimyen’s group consists of four female members who are all first-time borrowers with VisionFund. As the group's representative, Kimyen is leading her group to apply for a loan in the amount of 4,000,000 KHR in total. With her loan portion of this loan, Kimyen will purchase fertilizer and rent a water pump so that the rice field has sufficient water. This hard-working farmer, Kimyen, hopes to see an improvement in her business as well as her family's living standards..
