A loan of $550 helped a member to buy pesticides and fertilizer for her farmland.

Net's Group's story

Net is 62 years old and a married mother of eight children. The main income of the family is from farming rice on two hectares of farmland and growing sesame. Involved in this business for thirty-eight years, Net is able to earn about 25,000 KHR per day and can save about 10,000 KHR each day after deducting daily expenses. Low crop yield resulting from insufficient working capital is still the main challenge.

Net has been with VisionFund for one cycle and completely repaid the past loan which has helped her relieve her family’s burden and improve her livelihood. Now she is leading her group of two to ask for a loan with VisionFund. As the leader, Net will use her portion to buy pesticides and fertilizer for her farmland. Net hopes this loan will help her to grow her rice and sesame successfully so as to improve hygienic living conditions for her family.
