A loan of $2,550 helped to buy seeds, fertilizers and new garden tools.

Nabat's story

Nabat is 41 years old, married, and has two children. She is classified as an Internally Displaced Person (IDP) and lives with her family in an IDP settlement. She is a farmer who raises seasonal fruits and vegetables. People in Azerbaijan use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy; many national dishes are made with vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits adorn every table in Azerbaijan and are also used to make fresh punch.

Nabat’s spouse helps her with the business because raising crops takes a lot of strength and work in the open air, which is very hard. She has been doing this for 16 years, and that makes her an experienced and skilled person in this field. Her monthly income is 600 AZN. She usually sells her crops from her house.

She needs additional capital to invest in seeds and fertilizers as well as new garden tools. This will allow her to improve the quality of her products and increase her monthly revenue. For this purpose she has applied for 2000 AZN. This will be her third loan and she has a good client history.
