A loan of $1,500 helped to plant potatoes and harvest yucca.

Jose Santiago's story

Jose is 47 years old and has two children who are 22 and 17 years old. He works in agriculture, growing a variety of vegetables, including potato and yucca, on his land located in the community of Villa Florida. This loan is his tenth with Emprender. Jose is going to use this loan to buy seeds for planting potatoes and yucca and to prepare the land. He is requesting this loan in order to have the necessary resources for the planting and to be able to subsist. Jose faces challenges in his business, such as inclement weather that on many occasions can ruin the crops. He will use the benefits of this loan to improve his and his family's quality of life. Jose is a very responsible and hard working person and he feels grateful to be offered this assistance.
