A loan of $775 helped to buy spare parts for motorcycles and mototaxis.

Nelly's story

Nelly, 60, is a cheerful, enterprising and dynamic woman. She’s been widowed for several years now and is the mother of two children. She lives in her own house with her oldest son, her daughter-in-law and her grandson who she loves very much.

Nelly’s business is selling spare parts for motorcycles and mototaxis. To do so, she’s set aside space at home and has been in business more than 25 years; the business was started by her late husband. Today, her son and daughter-in-law help her to take care of the public. She also has a hired helper for the heavy lifting of crates, tools and motors. She considers her business to be quite profitable and this allows her to cover household expenses and also has made it possible for her to provide schooling for her other children one of which is independent.

She plans to continue expanding and enlarging the business which is why she’s requesting her third MFP loan to buy spare parts for motorcycles and mototaxis at wholesale in larger amounts and at lower cost to increase her profit margin that way.
