A loan of $950 helped to pay for purchasing mobile phone spare parts and a laptop for his shop.

Judhisthir's story

Judhisthir owns and manages a mobile phone repairing and selling centre; he repairs and sells mobile phones in his shop. He has been doing this work for the past 7 years in the market which is 4 kilometres away from his home.

He is a 30-year-old 'differently-able' person living with his parents, wife and a daughter aged one and a half in a small village of Odisha, India. He has a plan to expand his business by adding more spare parts like keypads, batteries, memory cards, chips, etc. used in mobile phones and a laptop for downloading songs and uploading them onto memory cards. In villages people don’t have computers to upload songs and pictures in their mobile phones, so they go to the mobile shops to fill up their memory card.

He says that there is no other shop in the village doing the downloading work so if he starts that work that will attract a maximum number of customers and will help him to increase his income.

He has requested a loan amount of 50,000 INR for purchasing spare parts and a laptop for his shop. He has a dream: to give all possible necessities to his family and save some money for his daughter’s education.
