Madina lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with two children, one of whom goes to school. She has no additional family members.
She operates a bar from a shop that she rents on a retail basis. She sells her products on a retail basis. She has been in this business for the last ten years. She works seven days a week.
She has requested a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT – SACCO to buy more jerrycans of local gin, crates of beer, soda and other soft drinks.
Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goals and aspirations are to expand her business to a fully stocked pub in the future.
She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity, but does not have access to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and food.
