A loan of $1,225 helped to pay for bedsheets and pillowcases that she needs in her business.

Jennifer's story

This is Jennifer, 36, a resident of Intramuros, Philippines. She is married to Ronald and a mother to her children. She, together with her husband, manages their own household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Jennifer sells bedsheets and pillowcases. She has a stall in the market, which gives her an advantage since a lot of people go there rather than the mall to find cheaper stuff. And indeed, her products are cheaper than those sold in the malls. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of 500 Philippines pesos (Php) in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 50,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more quantities of bedsheets and pillowcases for her business. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Jennifer hopes to increase production and dreams to be able to give all her family a good life through all her hard work on her business. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week, and this is where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
