Irina's story

Irina has an established business selling women’s clothing in the city of Simferopol in southern Ukraine. She currently has five vending locations at a huge outdoor market where hundreds of vendors sell all sorts of items. Irina started her business about 20 years ago. She has an entrepreneurial mind, and she has worked hard to develop her business. Buying clothing inventory from Turkey, where she can get better prices, is one way in which she is able to gain a competitive business advantage. Moreover, she is planning on bringing goods in from China. Irina is married, and she has a 20-year-old daughter. One of her goals for the future is to purchase a house for her family.

Irina is requesting a loan of 5,000 Ukrainian Griven ($1,050) in order to open yet another sales location. With an additional location in which to sell her goods, she will be able to increase her sales and will continue to provide a better life for her and her family.
