Rostiko is a 49-year-old married man with eight children and lives in Masindi, Uganda. After realising that he could not meet his everyday expenses through farming alone, he decided to trade in produce. He has been in the produce business for the last 15 years.
He obtained capital from farming and contracts to collect market dues. Although inadequate capital to purchase stock hinders his business, his dream is to educate his children and expand his business into new markets. Rostiko intends to use this loan to buy produce such as maize and beans to sell.
This loan provides farmers and low-income entrepreneurs from underserved rural areas with access to financial services. By supporting this loan, you allow more farmers and rural entrepreneurs to access capital.
