Leonardo's story

This is Leonardo, 49, a resident of Intramuros, Philippines. He, together with his partner, manages his household while operating the business. At this time, he is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Leonardo operates a buy and sell business. What he basically does is buys general merchandise from wholesalers and sells them with a little profit. His products are men and women’s clothes and other products of the like. Customers are attracted to buy due to the low selling prices and the many options he offers. He also has a variety store for additional income. His regular customers are his neighbors and the local community. He earns a minimum of 300 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in sales every day.

To help him continue operations of his business, Leonardo is requesting a 50,000 PHP loan. He will be utilizing the loan to buy ready-to-wear products and merchandise items to expand his product inventory. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business.

Leonardo hopes to be able to expand his business and dreams to have an abundant life. He faithfully meets up with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his work every week and where he can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
