Maty's story

Mrs. Maty is 49 and has been working for eight years. She lives in the village located about 7 km from the main city. Because of their lack of money, the women of this area are must sell milk curds by the roadside. Maty does as well; she starts her day at 7:30 in the morning and finishes at 7:30 in the evening. She is on her second loan with l’IMCEC and has just requested 200,000 FCFA in order to grow her business. She contributes to the daily expenses of the family and also manages transportation from her home to her place of work. She wants, with the help of l’IMCEC, to increase her working capital and to improve the living conditions of her family.
