Mwanasidi is an old entrepreneur who lives in Msambweni, a town in the Kenyan coast. Here she set up a store over ten years ago and very much enjoys the business and being able to make her money to support her family. In her store she sells essential items such as rice, sugar, grains, noodles, etc. She hopes to receive the loan because she wants to buy more products such as sugar, tea leaves, beans, flour, among others, to increase sales so she can expand her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
