A loan of $500 helped to buy two grazing cows.

Julio César's story

Julio, 54, is married and has three children. He has made a living farming and raising cattle from a very young age. He and his siblings helped their father, because it was a very big family with few economic resources.

At the age of 20 he got married and began to work on his own, cultivating between 14,000 and 21,000 square meters with the help of his wife. He has to travel seven kilometers from his house to buy the inputs for his crops. Then he has to pay for transportation to have them sent to his house.

The loan he's requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy two grazing cows to sell when they get a good price. That way he'll have more income available for his family.

His goal is to give his children an education, including the university if possible.
