Samir is a 40-year-old married man and father of two children. He has been working in the food business for 20 years. In 1995 he opened his own restaurant and since that time he is working hard on improving and developing it.

Samir's restaurant is located on the main road where anyone can pass by and experience his makings.

Samir is applying for a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua in order to buy two power generators necessary for his business and family living. The first one will be used at his restaurant to keep everything fresh and healthy, to keep the electricity available for the customers, and to make his work easier.
The other one will be settled at home, for his family's benefit. It would enable them to live a normal living that anyone must have, since electricity is currently a problem with no solution in Lebanon.

Samir hopes to move to a wider shop in the future which will help him work easier and faster and increase his production.
