A loan of $2,550 helped to pay tractor rent and hire labors to dig a water channel.

Telman's story

Telman is a 58-year-old man who is married with two daughters. He is an IDP (internally displaced person). He is a cattle breeder and has two cows. His monthly income is 300 AZN and this is only one financial income in his family. The area where he lives has very rigorous climate conditions and one problem, which is water, always exists. He has only one wish now--to connect water to his house. Now, to water his cows he pastures them to about one kilometer to the nearest river.

When he heard about water loans he was extremely excited and applied for a 2,000 AZN loan. Creating a water channel is quite an expensive process that requires labor force and special equipment. He will use this loan to pay for renting special equipment, like a tractor, for making the water channel and for workers who will dig the land.
