María Del Carmen's story

María, 63, is married and has 8 children. She lives with her husband and a grandson in the city of San Pedro Sula’s Chamelecon sector, Cortés Department.

María has been selling food like breakfast, lunch, chicken with fried plantain, turnovers, snacks and soft-drinks she prepares herself for the last 37 years.

At present she’s requesting a 20,000 Lempira loan to buy raw materials like oil, vegetables, meat, condiments and soft-drinks.

She believes the loan will help her develop the business more and keep her customers satisfied.

Her personal goal is to feel useful to society, to set a good example for her family and to continue growing in her business.
