A loan of $775 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Helga Osiris's story

Helga, 40, is married and has three children. She lives in an urban area in the municipality of San Pedro Sula, Cortes Department. Helga has been selling foodstuffs in a grocery store for the past five years. She stocks basic staples like grains, lard, oil, bread, sugar, medicine, snacks, candy, condiments and soft-drinks.

At present she’s requesting a 15,000 Lempira loan to buy meat, beans, rice, corn flour and soft-drinks. She believes that the loan will help her better stock her store and increase sales. Her future goals consist in buying display cases to sell low-cost novelty items and to offer a wider selection of goods.
