A loan of $1,075 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Olga Idalia's story

Olga, 61, is a single mother of seven children. She lives in the municipality of Siguatepeque’s San Miguel neighborhood in Comayagua Department.

Olga has been a merchant for the last 18 years. Her business is a grocery store where she sells basic staples like basic grains, lard, oil, bread, sugar, condiments and soft-drinks to her customers.

She’s asking for her first loan, 21,000 Lempiras to buy meat, beans, rice, hygiene products, oil, wheat flour, common use medicines and soft-drinks.

She believes that the loan will help her establish credit history with the institution so that she can get working capital to make her business grow.
