A loan of $775 helped to buy several bags of organic fertilizers, to scatter them in her coffee and banana crops.

Rebeca's story

Rebeca is 53 years old and lives with Luis with whom she has five children, even though only the three young ones live with them. They live in their own house in a native community of the central jungle. Rebeca is a charismatic and hardworking woman. She is engaged to agriculture, she grows coffee and bananas in her two plots of land. "My husband and I work in all cultivations, so when we harvest we are happy for all", she says.

She has over 30 years in this business and has had to face problems such as staff shortages, climate, and diseases in her plantations. The most difficult thing she has to face is the transportation of her products, because her community is located far away from the city. However, she does it with effort. She likes working in the field because she finds freedom when she goes to her crops. She lives happy with her family. Her next plans are to expand her crops and improve her production. For now, she has set the cleaning of her coffee crops and the scattering of organic fertilizers.

This is her loan number 2 with MFP, that's why she takes responsibility about being punctual in the payment of her installments. Her communal bank is called "Los Productores Yaneshas" and she is happy to have responsible members. Rebeca will invest 2,000 soles in the purchase of several bags of organic fertilizers, to scatter them in her coffee and banana crops.
