A loan of $700 helped to buy bricks, cement, sand and to pay labor costs.

Rosaura Isabel's story

Rosaura works raising pigs and barnyard fowl. She’s well-known in her community; she’s responsible and hardworking. She currently lives with two children who are economically dependent on her. Rosaura works in animal husbandry activities like raising pigs and barnyard fowl. She set up this activity at home because she needed to improve and have a source of family income. Her advantage is that customers come to her house to acquire the animals so she does not have to go anywhere else to sell them.

She requests a loan to buy bricks, cement and sand and to pay labor costs to finish building a corral for the pigs. This loan will help her strengthen the business by being able to house the pigs in a more adequate space that includes the required cleanliness because they will be at a distance from her house and safe from any risk of possible illness.

Her dream is to have a good number of pigs in her corral to fatten them up and then sell. She will generate more household and family income so that they can be better fed.
